In the fall semester of 2016, I started at Texas State University and took a class called Fundamentals of Digital and Online Media. One of the assignments was to keep up a blog throughout the semester. I decided to run a blog about the Hidden Places of Texas State.

In this class, we also got to do video interviews on the topic of our choice. I decided to keep with the theme of my blog and ask people what their favorite hidden places were. This was my first time editing video, and I enjoyed it a lot.

In addition to learning digital media skills in the class room, I have also learned other mass communication skills in the workforce and through volunteering. My first job at 16 years old was at KBYG Radio, the local oldies station in Big Spring, Texas. It opened my eyes to mass communication and led me to pursue a career in the field.
